The construction team at Bouygues UK is happy to be updating you on our progress at St Paul’s Way Community School!
It has been a busy Summer and the final stages of phase 1 are now underway. Internal fit-out is 80% complete with fixed furniture to the food technology and science areas now installed. Floor finishes are being laid and final decoration is being executed on the ground floor.
Completion of internal areas are on programme for the ICT (Information Computer Technology) installation to take place in November 2010, ready for the school to decant during the Christmas break and to open in the first week of January 2011.
The construction of the external facilities building has now commenced. This will be used to store sports and maintenance equipment. Hard landscaping is almost complete to the South elevation and is on programme on the North side of the school. Soft landscaping will follow in the coming months.
Phase 2 is scheduled to commence in January 2011. This phase consists of the soft strip and demolition of the existing school followed by the construction of the external space including tennis courts, multi use sports surface, and landscaping.
