Our Initiatives

From day one Bouygues UK is committed to engaging with local communities.

Generally the impact of our projects on the local community is too often overlooked and the complexity of our work is not really understood. To improve this, as an integral part of the construction process we have involved both schools and communities as witnesses to the various construction stages by hosting a weekly “surgery” for local community representatives and by involving pupils in the work taking place at their school.

Site visits are an important part of the engagement process. They provide the opportunity for pupils and members of the community to understand different construction stages and techniques and encourage potential vocational development within the industry.
